Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

SUNDAY SERVICES 10 AM

WELCOME

We are Woodland Drive Community Church of the Nazarene, a Christian community of faith rooted in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition.

What does it mean to be a Christian Community?

Along with Christian believers around the globe, we proclaim Jesus Christ is Lord and embrace the belief in the Trinity, that God has appeared at various times in history as three distinct, independent persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—while simultaneously existing as a single, unified being.

Over and again, Jesus taught about the power of community to learn, worship and serve. We cannot do this alone. As a community, we hope to be a light to all we meet.

What does it mean to be rooted in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition?

We value the heritage our church is built on, including the teachings of John and Charles Wesley, and a way of understanding the faith that is true to Scripture, reason, tradition, and experience. The Wesleys longed for more than just forgiveness (of course, Jesus’ saving grace is central!) but to experience God’s power to heal, redeem, and transform over a lifetime and for a lifetime.

We believe God, who is holy, calls us to a life of holiness and that the Holy Spirit seeks to do in us a second work of grace that cleanses us from all sins, renews us in the image of God, and empowers us to love God with our whole heart, soul, mind and strength, and our neighbours as ourselves.

OUR MINISTRIES

We are committed to supporting everyone on their spiritual journey as a community. To this end, we meet for community worship on Sundays and offer mid-week prayer and bible study sessions where you can forge connections and deepen your understanding of the path that Our Lord has set for you.

Let’s Get to Know Each Other

We would love to meet you and make you feel at home at Woodland Drive Community Church. We hope to create a chance for everyone in our community to get involved and feel like they belong.

If you have a need or would like prayer or a visit, please let us know.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Woodland Drive Community Church of the Nazarene acknowledges that the land upon which we meet is Treaty 6 territory. It is the traditional home and meeting ground for many Indigenous peoples, including the Blackfoot, Dene, Cree, and Métis. We acknowledge the land as an act of respect, in recognition of the enduring presence of Indigenous peoples here, long before the arrival of our ancestors.

We give thanks for their stewardship of the land and its resources. We also acknowledge the long history of broken promises and grievous harms endured by our Indigenous neighbors, wrongs which were perpetrated by the Canadian government and the Church. We are sorry for these wrongs, and we commit our hearts and hands, in obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ, to the work of reconciliation and healing.
